Now this company certainly drives us up memory lane, they've been with us since the beginning. Chartwells provides catering services for the DePaul University in Chicago (and many other universities) at the request of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and external customers. This location consists of two campuses (Lincoln Park & Loop) and it amazes us how complex Chartwell's operation is. Honestly, we're great admirers of the services they provide. Chartwells has a wonderful staff and they've played an intricate role in the growth of our firm.
When we began working with Chartwells, they were running their entire operation manually. If DePaul wanted to cater an event, their only option was to fax or phone in orders to Chartwells directly. Have you ever been to the DePaul University in Chicago? If so, then you know how large these campuses are! Picture a major catering event for 300 people with multiple entrees, deserts, tables, and everything else involved. Also picture the event host changing items every other day, it's a huge undertaking! Finally, imagine Chartwells providing that amazing service using constant incoming faxes and phone calls (orders change constantly). That's how it was before we automated their operation.
Ovest Dynamics developed their first system about five years ago and they hired us a second time for a complete overhaul (website you see now). Chartwells logs on to their website (administration portal) and runs their business using the internet. When a customer places an order, the system automatically begins its work to organize an event.
